Warranty on Computers, Computer Systems, Computer Peripherals vary considerably
depending on what is offered by the Manufacturer or the System Builder, below is a list
of abbreviations that may appear listed or * next to Warranty on Flyers, Brochures & Websites
you should check what you are covered for.

1. Software:
a. Software that comes with your computer should be checked for the following.
   Operating System:
   Which version of Windows comes with the computer?
   Is Windows Installed and activated, most computers purchased boxed need to have
   Windows Installed and activated, check if your Computer Store does this for you,
   BM Computers install, activate & update Windows and install any listed software, all our
   new computer systems come with  12 Months (RTB) Warranty and 12 Months subscription
   of Internet Security + the OEM Sofware CD/DVD if applicable.
   Does your computer come with OEM (OEM stands for "original equipment manufacturer")
   and  OEM software is a phrase that refers to software that is sold to computer builders and
   hardware manufacturers (OEMs) in large quantities, for the purpose of bundling with 
  computer hardware. The third-party software that comes with your digital camera, graphics
  tablet, printer or scanner is an example of OEM software.
OEM software may also be an unlimited, fully-functional version of the product that can be purchased at a discount with a new computer because the system builder sells in large quantities and passes the savings on to the buyer. There are often special license restrictions attached to OEM software which attempts to restrict the way it is allowed to be sold.
OEM software may come with just a (License Label) or sometimes also with the CD/DVD.
Software Repairs:
Software is the responsibility of the buyer, software repairs are NOT covered without repair costs under Warranty by any Builder or Manufacturer.

Warranty Types:
RTB: Stands for (Return to Base) it means that the buyer must return & pick up the computer when claiming warranty.
LMW: Stands for (Limited Manufacturers Warranty) You should read the requirements and read the fine print.
PUR: Stands for (Pick Up & Return)  WHEREVER YOU ARE, The Manufacturer will PICK IT UP and RETURN IT.
EXW: Stands for (Extended Warranty) It is offered by computer stores at an extra cost to extend the standard warranty listed.
